People are used to looking at the scale of the architecture and environment in daily life, and from Jimmy's images, he brings out a strong contrast and makes us realize just how tiny we are in the world.” Jimmy also likes to walk into buildings and take photos from different angles from the inside. For him, monochrome imagery is the most minimalistic form of storytelling in mind with no distraction of colors focusing on just patterns and shades. Jimmy truly believes that black-and-white photography is the framework for one to jump "out of reality" with the endless amount of imagination lingering in his work. “Walking to the corner of the city, we can see Jimmy's works create a different sense of space with geometric structures and textures. He believes that an excellent black-and-white photo should have a complete range of tones, from the darkest black to the brightest white, and show a balanced range of contrast.

Jimmy is a Hong Kong street photographer who works in black and white. He walks into buildings and shoots them from the inside, looking for geometry and texture, and sets people against the scale of the architecture so you feel how small we are in it. He believes a good black-and-white photograph needs the full range of tones, from the deepest black to the brightest white.
